Schneider Electric - the world's most sustainable company

Schneider Electric, the leader in the digital transformation of energy management and automation, has topped the "World's Most Sustainable Companies of 2024" list compiled by Time magazine and Statista. This recognition reflects the ambitious targets Schneider Electric has set for reducing its own emissions, as well as the company's commitment to helping its customers become more energy efficient and cut their emissions.
Time and Statista applied a rigorous multi-stage methodology to identify the world's most sustainable companies for 2024. The process began with a pool of more than 5,000 of the world's largest and most influential companies. After a thorough four-stage evaluation, unsustainable industries were excluded from the final ranking. Companies were assessed against criteria such as external ratings and sustainability efforts, corporate reporting practices, and environmental and social performance. Thanks to this comprehensive approach, the ranking features 500 companies from more than 30 countries.
Both Time magazine and Statista highlighted the technological expertise of Schneider Electric and the Schneider Sustainability Impact (SSI) program. This transformational program drives and measures the company's progress towards its global sustainability goals for 2021-2025, advancing six long-term commitments that span all environmental, social and governance (ESG) dimensions. Among the company's achievements is helping customers reduce carbon dioxide emissions: since 2018, 553 million tonnes of CO2 have been saved and avoided. The company has also made significant progress in transforming its own supply chain. Carbon emissions from Schneider Electric's 1,000 largest suppliers have fallen by 27% since the program began, and 21% of its most strategic supply chain partners comply with the decent work standards of Schneider Electric.
