Schneider Electric Partner Meeting

In November, the annual partner meeting of Schneider Electric took place. The meeting was held in Amsterdam, the capital of the Netherlands.
The summit reviewed the results of the year and discussed plans for the year ahead. Schneider Electric outlined its key priorities and objectives for the Building Automation market, presented plans to develop and announce a new line of hardware and software products next year, along with updates to the existing range. The summit brought together Schneider Electric representatives from the Netherlands, Sweden, France, Canada, Russia and Ukraine, as well as Vice President of the Building Business Olaf Körner. Company representatives emphasized that in 2014 Schneider Electric's main efforts in the Building Automation market will focus on promoting the new SmartStruxure product line. Accordingly, new products from the SmartStruxure line are planned for announcement next year – the SmartX Automation Server, the SmartX Plant Room Controller, and updated versions of the StruxureWare software. In addition, a new SmartStruxure Lite product line will be available for small and medium-sized buildings, as well as for upgrading existing equipment. One of the distinctive features of SmartStruxure Lite is support for EnOcean and ZigBee wireless networks.
The summit also included a visit to the office centers of Schneider Electric and TNT in Hoofddorp, whose building automation systems are built on Schneider Electric equipment. The TNT building has been awarded the highest Green Building category for energy efficiency and energy saving under the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, LEED) standard – Platinum.
