Museums and Exhibition Centers
About the solution

When visitor numbers are low or outside opening hours, the air throughout the building is recirculated. CO2 sensors regularly check air quality, allowing the system to respond to any changes in good time.

A weather station installed on the museum roof continuously monitors wind speed and direction, rain, relative humidity and sunlight levels, ensuring the climate systems operate correctly. In addition, the automation system makes sure the air is evenly distributed throughout the rooms and prevents warmer air from accumulating high under the ceiling.

Room lighting control provides full control of the required lighting groups in several modes:

  • Automatic mode both maintains a constant level of illumination in the exhibition halls and creates different lighting scenes, highlighting particular exhibits depending on the event (for example a guided tour, an official delegation or a reception) or their significance (for example accenting individual exhibits with color or lighting intensity).
  • Local mode allows lighting to be controlled directly from control panels in the halls, as well as from a remote control carried, for example, by the person leading a tour or giving a presentation.
  • Remote mode allows all lighting groups to be controlled from a mimic diagram at the control station.

The shading system (curtains, blinds, awnings) is also automated and works in concert with the lighting system, providing additional protection of the museum’s exhibits from ultraviolet radiation as well as extra comfort for visitors.
